The Lone Star Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi

Lone Star was formed in late 2004 and officially franchised in 2005. The chapter was created by 10 founding alumni members from the Zeta Mu chapter at the University of Texas at Arlington. Lone Star has evolved from starting as the third alumni chapter in the metroplex to having the reputation as one of the top alumni chapters in the country. The chapter has received 14 regional, provincial and national awards including Outstanding Alumni Chapter, Most Improved, Outstanding Community Service, Outstanding Collegiate Relations and Outstanding Professional Activities.

Events include the Lone Star So-fessional at Lone Star Park Horse Track, the Lone Star Luau that is held in South Arlington, two Lone Star Sunday Brunches that are held at Birra Poretti's in North Arlington, celebrations for both Founders Day and Alumni Day, the Texas-OU Watch Party that is held at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bedford, and several additional events that include Karaoke night, Oscar Night, and special events at leadership conferences and at Grand Chapter Congress.

The chapter's focus is to support our brothers and to also provide scholarship and leadership opportunities to our membership. Lone Star is proud to have developed a leadership scholarship that is awarded to one collegiate member in the South Central Province and also a brotherhood scholarship that is given out to a member of the Zeta Mu chapter at UTA each year. We welcome you to join our Lone Star Group on Facebook for updates on upcoming chapter events.
